Holiday Office Hours and Commercial Access Restriction Reminder

Holiday Office Hours for the Sea Pines CSA Admin Office, Maintenance Office, ARB & Sea Pines Community Center:

  • Monday, December 23rd – Closing at Noon
  • Tuesday, December 24th – Closed
  • Wednesday, December 25th- Closed

All other Sea Pines CSA offices will remain open under normal hours of operation.

Commercial Vendor Holiday Access Restriction: Vehicles with commercial decals or commercial passes are not permitted in Sea Pines on the following days: Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, The Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day. Please plan accordingly. For emergency access for service providers on these holidays, please contact Sea Pines Security at 843.671.7170.


Dave Schoettmer Appointed to the Sea Pines CSA Board of Directors

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dave Schoettmer, the runner-up in our recent Class “A” Board of Directors election, to the Sea Pines CSA Residential Board of Directors. This appointment fills the vacancy left by Steven Fricker’s resignation. Dave’s two-year term began on December 10, 2024, and will end on December 31, 2026.

Dave is a residential property owner in Sea Pines and splits his time between South Carolina and Ohio. He is an engineer by education and earned degrees from both The University of Dayton and The Ohio State University (MBA), after which he built a career in management and IT consulting. He is a business founder and was a successful CEO for 18 years before exiting his business. He continues to serve as the Board Chairman at his former firm and possesses extensive experience in nonprofit organizations and board leadership. Additionally, he has previously served on an HOA board for seven years, including six as President.

The Sea Pines CSA staff and Board are excited to welcome Dave and look forward to the positive impact his strategic leadership, fresh perspective, and IT consulting experience will bring.

  • Red Route: Tues, Dec 31 – 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM
  • Blue Route: Tues, Dec 31 – 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM
  • Green Route: Tues, Dec 31 – 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM

Critical Infrastructure Improvement Projects
Lighthouse Lane Infrastructure Improvement Project: Lighthouse Lane from Lighthouse Road to Mizzenmast Lane.

  • Roadway milling and paving operations to begin on Wednesday, December 18th and will continue through Friday, December 20th, weather permitting. Expect heavy traffic delays and detours.
Sea Pines Drive Infrastructure Improvement Project: South Sea Pines Drive from Merganser Court to the end of South Sea Pines Drive (stopping at the entrance of Lands End).
  • Major stormwater drainage and roadway work is in progress (pictured) and will continue for the next few months.
  • Single-lane road closures and flagging operations will be in place. Motorists should expect traffic delays and possible traffic detours. Please use caution while driving in this area and observe the work zone speed limit of 15 mph.
  • Leisure trails in the project area will be closed as needed. For safety, cyclists will be required to dismount and walk bikes around the active work zones.

Maintenance Projects & Services
Stormwater Maintenance: Ditch re-sloping on Greenwood Drive between the SPCSA Administration Office and the Lake Forest area is in progress.

Roadside Maintenance: Roadside mulching along Greenwood Drive is in progress and will continue through next week.

Tree Care Management: Leisure trail tree trimming along Lawton Drive is in progress and will continue through next week.

Beginner Bird Walk: Friday, December 20th from 8:00-10:00 AM: Join Master Naturalists Mary Ellen Blankenship and Bob Speare for a two-hour walk through the Forest Preserve to see, hear, and learn about some of the birds who call this amazing habitat their home. This event is free, but you must register HERE for a ticket. There is a limit of 24 people per bird walk.

Deep Well Project Community Donation Event: Friday, December 13th from 9:00-11:00 AM at the Sea Pines Community Center Parking Lot (71 Lighthouse Road). Click here to view Christmas Dinner, Food, Personal and Santa Shop Needs.
Wreaths Across America: Six Oaks Cemetery will be honoring our veterans this Christmas during their annual Wreaths Across America ceremony. You are cordially invited to attend the ceremony, which will be held outside, on Saturday, December 14th at noon.
