Sea Pines CSA Board of Director Election Results

“Class A” Board Candidate and Vote Count:
  • Larry Movshin – 1,909
  • Bob Quinn – 1,655
  • Tom Sharp – 2,189
  • Rich Speer – 1,894
The Three “Class A” Candidates Elected to the Sea Pines CSA Board of Directors: 
  • Larry Movshin, Tom Sharp, and Rich Speer.
  • Their three-year terms will begin on January 1, 2022.
“Class B” Commercial Representatives Announced:
  • Robert Gossett and Jim Kaskie have been elected to the Commercial Class “B” Director seats for the Sea Pines CSA Board.
  • Their three-year terms will begin on January 1, 2022.
Congratulations are extended to the newly elected directors of the Sea Pines CSA Board of Directors. Thank you to all the candidates that participated in this year’s election as well as all of those property owners who cast their vote. 

Sea Pines CSA Class “A” Residential Board of Director Elections

The use of online Electronic Voting for the Sea Pines CSA Class “A” Board of Director Elections was approved at the Sea Pines CSA Board of Directors Meeting held on June 29, 2021. Each residential property in good standing with CSA as of the October 1st, 2021 date of record, will receive a CSA Ballot (one for each property owned in Sea Pines). This year, Sea Pines CSA has selected Vote-now.com LLC as our 3rd Party Independent Elections Administrator. Unique voting codes will be assigned by Vote-now.com LLC and eligible Class “A” members will have the opportunity to cast their votes either online or by completing a mailed ballot. Only one form of voting will be counted.

Three “Class A” Residential Directors Board seats will become available on January 1st, 2022.

Important Election Dates

  • August 1, 2021: CSA Board of Directors application deadline
  • August 2021: Candidate interviews
  • August 31, 2021: CSA candidates announced
  • October 1, 2021: CSA Application by Petition deadline
  • November 1, 2021: CSA Board of Director Election Voting Period Opens
  • December 1, 2021: Ballots must be returned by December 1, 2021, at 11:59 PM EST, to be valid.

Sea Pines CSA Meet the Candidates Virtual Event Held 

This virtual event was broadcast via Youtube on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, from 2:00-3:30 PM. During the live broadcast, we heard from each of the Sea Pines CSA Class “A” Board of Director candidates. Click here to view the meeting video.


Sea Pines CSA Class “A” Board of Director Ballot Information

  • Each residential property in good standing with CSA as of the October 1st, 2021 date of record, will receive a CSA Ballot (one for each property owned in Sea Pines). This year, Sea Pines CSA has selected Vote-now.com LLC as our 3rd Party Independent Elections Administrator. Unique voting codes will be assigned by Vote-now.com LLC and members will have the opportunity to cast their votes either online or by completing a mailed ballot. Only one form of voting will be counted.
  • There are four (4) candidates who are running to fill three (3) CSA Class “A” Residential Board of Director vacancies. Please vote for up to three (3) candidates on your ballot, any ballot exceeding three (3) votes will be void. Cumulative voting is prohibited. To ensure quorum requirements are met, 20% of the Class “A” Members must execute and return ballots, therefore at least 1,158 Class “A” ballots must be returned.
  • The three (3) candidates receiving the most votes will be elected. Per the Bylaws of CSA, the newly elected CSA Board Directors will serve a three-year term beginning January 1, 2022, and ending December 31, 2024.
  • Sea Pines CSA Class “A” Residential Director Election voting period is open from 12:00 AM November 1, 2021- 11:59 PM on December 1, 2021. Ballots must be received by 11:59 PM EST on December 1, 2021, to be counted.
  • VOTE ONLINE: Your voting invitation email and an electronic ballot were sent at 10:00 AM on November 1, 2021, to the primary email on file with Sea Pines CSA from the email address elections@vote- now.com. If you did not receive your ballot invitation email please contact Vote-now.com LLC by email at support@vote-now.com or connect with live chat during business hours here: https://vtnw.com/chat/ for assistance.
  • BY MAIL: Sea Pines CSA Class “A” Residential ballots were mailed out on November 1, 2021. Each residential property in good standing with CSA as of October 1st, 2021, date of record, will receive a CSA Ballot (One for each property owned in Sea Pines). Ballots will be mailed to the primary notice of mailing on file with Sea Pines CSA. Please allow 3-5 days for mailed ballot delivery via the USPS. If you choose to vote via paper ballot, please complete and return the enclosed paper ballot in the pre-paid envelope provided, by mail to Vote-now.com LLC (our 3rd party Elections Administrator) at:
