Sea Pines CSA Monitoring & Preparing for Potential Storm Impacts

Sea Pines CSA staff is actively monitoring and preparing for the potential impacts of the approaching storm. Our Maintenance Department has initiated storm preparations which include:

  • Monitoring lagoon levels throughout the community
  • Securing items at our managed areas
  • Ensuring Sea Pines CSA drains and outfalls are clear
  • Mobilizing equipment as needed throughout the community

If you have not done so already, please take this time to secure anything that may be impacted by tropical storm force winds. Weather Update from NWS-Charleston

Hurricane Helene Situation Overview:

  • Our area remains under a Tropical Storm Warning.
  • Impacts from scattered tornadoes may become one of the highest impacts in our area from Helene.
  • Helene still expected to be a LARGE SYSTEM, with IMPACTS reaching WELL OUTSIDE/EAST of the Track Cone of uncertainty, which covers our region. Focus attention on expected impacts, NOT the centerline of the forecast track.
  • Potential Impacts Include: tornadoes, tropical storm force wind/wind gusts, periods of heavy rainfall, elevated tides/storm surge inundation, dangerous marine conditions, high surf and high rip current risk.

Critical Infrastructure Improvement Projects
Due to weather conditions, we have implemented precautionary measures to secure our infrastructure improvement construction sites. Once the storm has cleared and it is safe to proceed, our crews will resume work on Lighthouse Lane and South Sea Pines Drive.

Sea Pines CSA Community Shredding Event: Monday, September 30th from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Sea Pines Center Parking Lot. This event is open to all Sea Pines property owners on a first come, first-serve basis. Click here for more information.
