Tropical Storm Helene Update 9.27.24 7:15 AM

Our area remains under a Tropical Storm Warning. Our Maintenance team is onsite and responding to reports of downed trees. We will also have crews out on the roads to assess the community. Please avoid unnecessary travel at this time to allow our crews to work as safely and efficiently as possible.
Sea Pines CSA Operation Updates & Notices:

  • Sea Pines daily visitor gate pass sales have been suspended until further notice.
  • The Sea Pines CSA Administration office, Sea Pines Community Center and Sea Pines ARB office are currently closed.
  • The Sea Pines Guest Pass office and Security Dispatch office (843-671-7170) are operating under normal business hours.
  • Access to the Sea Pines Forest Preserve, Six Oaks Cemetery, and Tower Beach are currently closed and will reopen once conditions permit.

Important Reminders:

  • As the storm continues to pass through our area, our property owners, guests and visitors are asked to remain indoors and to stay off of the roadways.
  • If you must travel, please use caution and drive slowly throughout the community as our crews are working in and along the roadways.
  • Use extreme caution or avoid using the leisure trails and beach paths until cleanup efforts can be completed.
  • Wildlife, such as alligators and snakes, are more likely to be displaced and seen during and after a storm. Be aware, keep pets on a leash at all times, and give all wild animals space. To report a wildlife concern, please contact the Sea Pines Security at 843.671.7170.

6:00 AM Tropical Storm Helene Briefing

Situation Overview:

  • The center of Helene continues to track across the Southeast, with strong winds on the east side of the system extending across all of SE SC and SE GA.
  • Tornadoes: The tornado threat continues, but will diminish from south to north through mid-to-late morning.
  • Brief periods of heavy rainfall remain possible. Dangerous marine conditions, high surf and high rip current risk continue as well.
  • Helene will pull away from the area this afternoon with quickly improving conditions through the day.
