Winter Storm Warning Remains in Effect for our Area from 5:00 PM 1/21/25 – Noon 1/22/25

Sea Pines CSA staff is actively preparing for the potential impacts of the approaching winter storm. Our Maintenance Department has initiated storm preparations which include sanding the Greenwood Drive and Ocean Gate entrances and major roadway intersections.

Sea Pines CSA Operation Updates & Notices:

  • Due to anticipated inclement weather, the Sea Pines CSA Administration office, Sea Pines Community Center and Sea Pines ARB office will be closing at 3:00 PM today, January 21, and will remain closed through tomorrow, January 22.
  • UPDATE: The Sea Pines Guest Pass Office will close at 5 PM today.
  • The Sea Pines CSA Maintenance storm team will remain onsite to respond to storm-related events.
  • The Security Dispatch Office (843-671-7170) are operating under normal business hours. We will notify you in advance if these services need to be modified due to weather conditions.
  • Sea Pines daily visitor gate pass sales may be suspended due to weather conditions.
  • Tower Beach facilities will be closed today as water will be turned off to prevent and/or mitigate any damage caused by freezing temperatures. The facilities will reopen once conditions permit.
  • Access to the Sea Pines Forest Preserve and Six Oaks Cemetery will be closed as of 4 PM today and will reopen once conditions permit.
  • Parking Lots along Power Line Easement: To continue to allow Santee Cooper unobstructed access to the major transformer lines in Sea Pines, please do not park vehicles in lot numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10.
  • If snow or ice accumulates, our property owners, guests and visitors are asked to limit use off the roadways and remain off the leisure trails in Sea Pines. If you must travel, please drive with extreme caution.
  • To help prevent icing on the roadways, please shut off your irrigation systems.

National Weather Service- Charleston Office 6:00 AM Winter Weather Briefing

The below weather conditions are forecasted for Hilton Head Island tonight into tomorrow morning:

  • Snow/Freezing Rain: Accumulating snow and freezing rain is expected.
  • Most likely start time: 4 – 7 PM today.
  • Impact: 8 PM tonight – 6 AM Wednesday. Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous.
  • Precipitation ends: 6 – 10 AM Wednesday.
  • Cold Temperatures: Dangerous wind chills are possible, especially Wednesday night, with values as low as 8-15°F
