Critical Infrastructure Improvement Projects
Lighthouse Lane Infrastructure Improvement Project: Lighthouse Lane from Lighthouse Road to Mizzenmast Lane.

  • Roadway milling and paving operations have been postponed following a water main break on Lighthouse Road, which was caused by a utility company’s subcontractor. Although this incident is unrelated to Sea Pines CSA’s infrastructure project work, it has impacted the project timeline. Necessary repairs to both the roadway and the underground infrastructure at the intersection of Lighthouse Lane and Lighthouse Road must be completed before work can resume on Lighthouse Lane.
  • Geotechnical surveying of the roadway is scheduled for Friday, January 3. Single-lane road closures and traffic control will be in place.

Sea Pines Drive Infrastructure Improvement Project: South Sea Pines Drive from Merganser Court to the end of South Sea Pines Drive (stopping at the entrance of Lands End).

  • Major stormwater drainage along South Sea Pines Drive is nearing completion. Single-lane road closures and flagging operations are in place. Motorists should expect traffic delays and possible traffic detours. Please use caution while driving in this area and observe the work zone speed limit of 15 mph.
  • Leisure trails in the project area will be closed as needed. For safety, cyclists will be required to dismount and walk bikes around the active work zones.
Greenwood Drive Survey Work: Survey work along Greenwood Drive, from Plantation Drive to South Sea Pines Drive, is scheduled for early to mid-January. Weather permitting, project work will take 4-6 weeks to complete. Surveyors will be present along the roadway, utilizing survey ribbons to document trees, vegetation, and utility lines. Additionally, survey flags will be placed along the road right-of-way, property boundary lines, CSA open space, and easements. Please do not remove any staking or utility markings.
