Severe Thunderstorms Possible This Afternoon (3/8/22)
Thunderstorms are expected to develop ahead of an approaching cold front this afternoon and move across southeast Georgia and southeast South Carolina. A few of these thunderstorms could become severe, with the primary threat being damaging wind gusts. The region continues to be highlighted in the Storm Prediction Center’s Day 1 Severe Weather Outlook.
TIMING & LOCATION:
- 2-7 PM
- All of southeast Georgia and southeast South Carolina
HAZARDS & IMPACTS:
- Damaging wind gusts (primary threat)
- Large hail and an isolated tornado (secondary threats)
