Boardwalk #39, located between Red Cardinal Road and Whistling Swan Road, has exceeded its useful life and must be replaced. Project work began the week of March 25, 2024, and will take approximately 2 to 3 weeks, weather permitting. The beach boardwalk access will be closed to all pedestrian traffic during this time.

Project work involves: 

• Widening the boardwalk to 6 feet
• Extending the boardwalk approximately 40 feet over the dune to aid in protection and allow the dune to continue to build

April 10, 2024 Replacement and construction work on Sea Pines CSA Boardwalk #39 has been completed, and the beach boardwalk is now open for public use.

April 4, 2024 Replacement and construction work on Boardwalk #39 is nearing completion. The beach boardwalk access remains closed to all pedestrian traffic during this time, but is expected to reopen early next week.
