New Fire Station Building to Be Constructed in Sea Pines

February 21, 2020

CSA has been notified of an upcoming project in Sea Pines. Please see below for a press release from the Town of Hilton Head Island. To view this full press release visit the Town’s website by clicking here.
“As part of its Capital Improvements Program, the Town of Hilton Head Island will demolish the existing Fire Station No. 2 building in Sea Pines and build a new facility. Area residents can expect to see work activity beginning the first week of March.
The current fire station, located at 65 Lighthouse Road, opened in 1976 and has undergone several expansions and renovations. It will be replaced with a new 8,500 sq. ft. fire station that will have sleeping facilities for six firefighters, a weight room, and three bays for fire apparatus and ambulances. Construction of the new building should be completed in one year, depending on weather and other factors.
While the new building is under construction, fire department personnel will operate out of a temporary location using leased commercial space next to the Sea Pines Resort Fitness Center in the Shoppes at Sea Pines Center. The fire truck and ambulance will respond from the back of the center. “This location will ensure that response times and service delivery standards are maintained to that area of the Island until the project is completed,” said Fire Chief Brad Tadlock.
