4/6/22 Weather Alert: Another round of Severe Thunderstorms Expected This Afternoon
Another round of severe weather is possible this afternoon and evening across Southeast South Carolina and Southeast Georgia. There will be a risk for damaging winds and large hail. There will also be a risk for a few tornadoes, especially across Southeast Georgia. The risk for severe weather will be greatest between 2 PM and 9 PM. Locally heavy rainfall could also produce minor flooding, mainly of low-lying and poor drainage areas.
TIMING:
- Isolated Storms: 2 PM – 5 PM
- Highest Risk: 5 PM – 9 PM
DOMINANT HAZARDS:
- Damaging Wind Gusts
- Large Hail
- Isolated Tornadoes
