Six Oaks Cemetery is Hilton Head’s only full service, public, perpetual care cemetery.
Six Oaks was designed in 1966 by the gifted hands of renowned Landscape Architect Robert Marvin, whose artistic imprint has been left on some of the South’s most notable landmarks including Callaway Gardens, Charlestown Landing, Augusta National Golf Club and Beaufort’s Waterfront Park. His design reflects a deep appreciation for the land’s natural beauty. We understand the value of each and every life and the absolute importance of making sure your memories and the legacy of your loved ones lasts forever.
Interment options include: Family Estate Sites, Mausoleums, Burial Plots, Urn Sites, Columbarium Niches and Urn Benches.

Azalea Terrace Expansion at Six Oaks Cemetery
Azalea Terrace features a 1.3-acre expansion that blends seamlessly with the serene and natural beauty of our existing grounds. This new addition includes nearly 1,000 president clay azaleas under a canopy of moss draped live oak trees, and a quarter mile of tabby sidewalks, providing a peaceful pathway for reflection and remembrance.
The Azalea Terrace site design features legacy family estate sites, full-size premium burial and urn sites, along with our highly sought-after sites for urn benches and mausoleums.
Six Oaks Cemetery Honors Our Veterans
On Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Patriots Day, and Veterans Day, we place an American Flag on each Veteran’s grave. Additionally, during the holiday season, we commemorate every Veteran with a live wreath
Wreaths Across America
We are honored to support our veterans each Christmas by participating in Wreaths Across America, a national nonprofit organization with the goal of laying a wreath on each of Arlington’s 230,000 grave sites this year. More than 900 cemeteries nationwide will participate in an annual wreath laying ceremony to support this effort.
The cost to sponsor a wreath is $15. For every two wreaths purchased, Wreaths Across America will donate an additional wreath for free.
