Please see below for a press release from the Town of Hilton Head dated 8/18/17. CSA will continue to pass information related to this project as it is provided to us by the Town of Hilton Head.

Within the next 3 days the Marinex Construction, Inc. cutterhead suction dredge Savannah, along with attendant tug boats, barges and support vessels are expected to arrive in local waters. The dredge will be temporarily anchored near the mouth of Calibogue Sound. The dredge will be taken off tow and made ready to commence the Town’s beach renourishment project on or about August 21, 2017.

The necessary submerged pipeline between the Barrett Shoals borrow site and the beach has been deployed. A pipeline landing on the beach near Green Winged Teal Street has been established. Project information is available at the Town’s website: www.hiltonheadislandsc.gov.
