Dear Sea Pines Property Owners,

The entire Sea Pines community is mourning the loss of our neighbor Cassandra Cline. Our hearts ache for her family and friends during this extremely difficult time. Many of you have reached out to us with questions about this tragedy. I’d like to take some time to clarify what we do at CSA and share important precautions that our property owners, guests and visitors should take regarding our alligator population.

While the Lowcountry landscape and wildlife habitats are special to Sea Pines, there are very real dangers that accompany living with and among nature. Sea Pines is home to a variety of indigenous wildlife such as alligators, birds, snakes, deer, coyotes and many, many other species. Sea Pines Community Services Associates is committed to providing you with information and resources about awareness of our wildlife habitats and safety.

In keeping with our commitment to your safety and the safety of all in Sea Pines, we work directly with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) to regularly manage wildlife in our community in accordance with their requirements. I have attached a link here that provides additional information regarding our management of alligators within Sea Pines and general safety practices for our property owners, guests and visitors.

We need your assistance in remaining vigilant and alert about our surroundings. Be aware of your safety and the safety of others. We will continue to communicate with our property owners, guests and visitors about our indigenous wildlife population.
