The Sea Pines Security Department received several reports of Copperhead sightings the week of 3/29/21. Snakes are most active between April and October. Please take the below precautions to stay safe:

• Never pick up or attempt to move a snake.
• Never place your hands in holes.
• Wear leather gloves if you have to handle debris, logs, rocks and other objects where a snake could be hiding.
• Wear high boots, gaiters and thick pants when working or walking in grassy or wooded areas.
