A Message From Larry Movshin, CSA Board Chairman

January 13, 2020

I am sincerely honored to be elected as the Chairman of the CSA Board for 2020. Our Sea Pines community owes an enormous gratitude to Mark Griffith, Michael Tucker and Charlie Miner for the significant improvement in our CSA government that they shepherded over five years in leadership positions. While they leave “big shoes to fill”, I am confident that with our newly elected Board members, newly installed officers, and new President, we will continue making progress toward a better Sea Pines community.

With a majority of new faces on our Board’s Executive Committee and the arrival of Sam Bennett, our new incoming CSA President, I am excited to bring a fresh perspective to our community’s ongoing concerns. Our Board will be meeting in early February to set our most important goals to accomplish during the year.

We will have a number of issues to tackle during the year. But I anticipate that our initial focus will be on finding the funding sources needed to fulfill the desire of the overwhelming majority of our property owners to fix and improve our aging infrastructure. We haven’t reached any conclusions and over the next several months we will consider a number of alternatives that are fair to all of our community’s various stakeholders. But I am certain that we will not allow the degradation of our community’s roads, drainage and other critical facilities to continue unabated.

Sam Bennett and I will be communicating regularly with our property owners on issues of importance. And I welcome the opportunity to communicate with any property owner who has an issue of importance to discuss. We are your elected leaders and we want to focus on those issues that matter most to the community as a whole. Our goal is to assure that Sea Pines remains the premier resort/residential community in the Low Country.
