Tropical Storm Elsa Update 7.6.21 – 3:30 PM

Tropical Storm Watch Issued For Our Area on 7/6/21
The latest National Hurricane Center 2 pm advisory noted that a Tropical Storm Watch remains in effect for Mouth of St. Marys River to South Santee River, South Carolina. Elsa is forecast to make landfall along the north Florida Gulf coast on Wednesday and then move across the southeastern United States through Thursday.

Elsa is expected to produce the following rainfall amounts and impacts this week:

Across portions of southeast Georgia and the Lowcountry of South Carolina, 3 to 5 inches with isolated maximum totals up to 8 inches will be possible, which may result in considerable flash and urban flooding.

Plan for hazardous wind of equivalent tropical storm force. Efforts to protect property should now be underway. Secure outdoor furniture, decorations, garbage cans and other lightweight items that are not tied down.

The Sea Pines CSA Maintenance Department has made storm preparations and is prepared to respond to storm-related events.

To report any downed trees/limbs in Sea Pines CSA managed open space areas or to report blocked stormwater drains or standing water:
