SPCSA Community Update 12.19.24

Holiday Office Hours for the Sea Pines CSA Admin Office, Maintenance Office, Sea Pines Community Center:
  • Mon, Dec 23 – Closing at Noon
  • Tues, Dec 24 & Wed, Dec 25 – Closed
  • Tues, Dec 31 – Closing at Noon
  • Wed, Jan 1 – Closed

All other Sea Pines CSA offices will remain open under normal hours of operation.

Sea Pines ARB Holiday Office Hours:

  • Mon, Dec 23-Wed, Dec 25 – Closed
  • Tues, Dec 31 – Closing at Noon
  • Wed, Jan 1 – Closed

Commercial Vendor Holiday Access Restriction: Vehicles with commercial decals or commercial passes are not permitted in Sea Pines on the following days: Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, The Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day. Please plan accordingly. For emergency access for service providers on these holidays, contact Sea Pines Security at 843.671.7170.


Critical Infrastructure Improvement Projects

Due to the holidays, project work will not take place on December 24, December 25, January 1.

Lighthouse Lane Infrastructure Improvement Project: Lighthouse Lane from Lighthouse Road to Mizzenmast Lane.

  • Sidewalk construction is in progress (pictured).
  • Roadway milling and paving operations have been rescheduled to Thursday, January 2 and Friday, January 3, weather permitting. Expect heavy traffic delays and detours.
Sea Pines Drive Infrastructure Improvement Project: South Sea Pines Drive from Merganser Court to the end of South Sea Pines Drive (stopping at the entrance of Lands End).
  • Major stormwater drainage and roadway work is in progress (pictured) and will continue for the next few months.
  • Single-lane road closures and flagging operations will be in place. Motorists should expect traffic delays and possible traffic detours. Please use caution while driving in this area and observe the work zone speed limit of 15 mph.
  • Leisure trails in the project area will be closed as needed. For safety, cyclists will be required to dismount and walk bikes around the active work zones.

Maintenance Projects & Services
Stormwater Repair: The replacement of a stormwater drainage pipe at the intersection of Stoney Creek Road and Lighthouse Road started this week and is scheduled to continue into next week.

Stormwater Maintenance: Ditch re-sloping on Greenwood Drive between the SPCSA Administration Office and the Lake Forest area is in progress and will continue through next week.

Roadside Maintenance: Roadside mulching along Greenwood Drive is in progress and will continue through next week.

NEW YEAR’S EVE SCHEDULE: 

  • Red Route: Tues, Dec 31 – 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM
  • Blue Route: Tues, Dec 31 – 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM
  • Green Route: Tues, Dec 31 – 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM

2025 Sea Pines CSA Annual Assessment Reminder
The 2025 Annual Assessment invoices were sent via email on December 3rd from csaassessmentbilling@csaseapines.com and mailed via USPS to the primary contact listed with Sea Pines CSA. If you are the primary contact on file and do not find the email in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder.

The due date for payment of this assessment is January 10, 2025. To pay your assessment online click here. For questions, please contact our Finance Department by email at traceym@csaseapines.com.

Join Master Naturalists Mary Ellen Blankenship and Bob Speare for a two-hour walk through the Forest Preserve to see, hear, and learn about some of the birds who call this amazing habitat their home. This event is free, but you must register HERE for a ticket. There is a limit of 24 people per bird walk. 4 Tickets Left!
