Beach Erosion at Tower Beach
Please be advised that due to ongoing coastal erosion, the usable beach at Tower Beach has become increasingly limited. The shoreline has undergone significant changes caused by strong wind and wave action, storm surges, and tidal cycles, leading to waves now reaching the end of the Tower Beach beachwalks during high tide. We strongly recommend that property owners plan their visits to Tower Beach during low tide when conditions are more favorable. For tide charts please visit the NOAA Tide Predictions website here.

The Town of Hilton Head Island is responsible for beach renourishment efforts in response to natural erosion. You can find more information about their 2025 Beach Renourishment Project on their website here.
