The Sea Pines Resort Donates Fish Island to The Sea Pines Forest Preserve Foundation

We are excited to share that The Sea Pines Resort has donated Fish Island to the Sea Pines Forest Preserve Foundation. A popular gathering place within the Sea Pines Forest Preserve, Fish Island offers a covered pavilion, picnic tables, grills, fishing docks, and portable restrooms. Property owners, guests, and visitors enjoy this space year-round for outdoor recreation, private celebrations, and community events.

For a number of years, in partnership with The Sea Pines Resort, the Foundation managed the Fish Island property. With this generous donation, the Foundation will be able to invest in long-awaited improvements that further elevate Fish Island as a premier community amenity. Funds previously donated by the Resort, along with additional support from the Sea Pines Resort Community Fund, will be available immediately to support those efforts.

The Sea Pines Forest Preserve is the largest tract of undeveloped land on Hilton Head Island and one of our community’s most cherished natural assets. We look forward to continuing to work with The Sea Pines Resort in securing “Our Natural Treasure” for generations to come.

Maintenance Projects & Services

Beach Walk Maintenance: As part of our ongoing annual maintenance plan, our team has completed routine improvements along all 33 SPCSA managed beach walk access paths. Over time, natural sand movement and weather conditions can create minor drop-offs along the edges of the concrete walkways.

To keep these areas smooth and well-maintained, we added mulch along the walkway edges where needed (pictured). This helps create a more gradual transition from the walkway to the surrounding ground and keeps the paths looking clean and finished. This proactive maintenance effort is part of our commitment to maintaining safe, accessible, and well-cared-for beach access points for our community.

Tree Care Management: Annual tree trimming along Sea Pines CSA-managed Beachwalks is in progress. While the beachwalks will stay open, we kindly ask pedestrians and cyclists to exercise caution and pay close attention to the flagmen present on-site. Leisure trail tree trimming is underway along Lighthouse Road.

Stormwater Maintenance & Repair: Next week, crews will begin regrading a swale near 77 Governors Road.

For questions or to report a maintenance concern, please contact our Maintenance Department at csamaintenance@csaseapines.com, by phone at 843.671.7849, or by utilizing the ‘contact us’ form available here.
