South Island Public Service District (SIPSD) is a publicly owned utility, providing water and wastewater services for the south end of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Serving over 26,000 customers, from the Cross Island to the Fresh Market Center, their service area also encompasses Sea Pines, Wexford, Shipyard, and Long Cove.
To provide the highest quality service to their customers, a new reverse osmosis plant, off Dunnagans Alley will be installed. SIPSD will now undertake a major infrastructure upgrade and replacement project to their potable water drinking line from Dunnagans Alley to Baynard Park Road, inside of Sea Pines.
This project will be addressed in two phases:
- Phase 1- Pipeline installation from Baynard Park Road and Plantation Drive to the parking lot at the Sea Pines CSA Administration office located at 175 Greenwood Drive
- Phase 2- Pipeline installation from the parking lot at the Sea Pines CSA Administration office located at 175 Greenwood Drive to the future reverse osmosis plant, off Dunnagans Alley (project details for Phase 2 are still in preparation)
Phase 1 Project Details
Scope of Work:
- Installation of 12,000 feet of new 12-inch water line pipe from the intersection of Baynard Park Road and Plantation Drive to the parking lot at the Sea Pines CSA Administration office located at 175 Greenwood Drive.
- Installation of 400 feet of new 12-inch water line pipe at Muirfield Road, from the District’s Elevated Water Storage tank to Plantation Drive.
