High Wind Warning in effect until 10:00 PM. Winds will continue to strengthen across the coastal counties through the afternoon. South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph are forecasted. Strong southerly winds could result in downed trees and power outages. Strongest winds along the coast, particularly the southeast South Carolina coast into Tybee Island, GA. Higher winds are likely on elevated bridges and bridges going to barrier islands. Tornado Watch in effect until 6:00 PM. A line of strong to severe thunderstorms will move across the coast later this afternoon into early evening. Be prepared to take immediate action should Severe Thunderstorm or Tornado Warnings be issued for our area.
