Sea Pines CSA Boardwalk #43A Replacement Project

2/23/23-

Sea Pines CSA Boardwalk #43A (pictured), located between Wood Ibis Road and Duck Hawk Road, has exceeded its useful life and must be replaced.

Next week, Sea Pines CSA contractors will begin replacement and construction work on Boardwalk #43A. The boardwalk will also be extended by approximately 100 feet over the dune to aid in the protection and allow the dune to continue to build.

Work will take approximately 2 to 3 weeks, weather permitting. The beach boardwalk access will be closed to all pedestrian traffic during this time. Please use Beachwalks #44 or #42A as alternate routes to the beach.

3/2/23- Reconstruction Update
This week, Sea Pines CSA contractors began demolition work on Boardwalk #43A. The wooden boardwalk has been removed and a sand pathway remains. Due to material availability for the South Sea Pines Drive Leisure Trail Timber Bridge Replacement Project, crews have been relocated to begin work on that project. Once that project work has been completed, crews will return to complete the reconstruction and extension of Boardwalk #43A.

The access to #43A is open, but there is no boardwalk. For beach access via boardwalk, please use Beachwalks #44 or #42A.

3/30/23 -Sea Pines CSA Boardwalk #43A Reconstruction Update

Replacement and construction work on Sea Pines CSA Boardwalk #43A, located between Wood Ibis Road and Duck Hawk Road, will resume the week of April 3rd. Work will take approximately 2 to 3 weeks, weather permitting.

The beach boardwalk access will be closed to all pedestrian traffic during this time. Please use Beachwalks #44 or #42A as alternate routes to the beach.

4/6/23-Sea Pines CSA Boardwalk #43A Remains Closed for Reconstruction

Replacement and construction work on Sea Pines CSA Boardwalk #43A, located between Wood Ibis Road and Duck Hawk Road, is in progress. Work will take approximately 2 to 3 weeks, weather permitting.

The beach boardwalk access will be closed to all pedestrian traffic during this time. Please use Beachwalks #44 or #42A as alternate routes to the beach.

4/13/23 – Sea Pines CSA Boardwalk #43A Remains Closed for Reconstruction

Replacement and construction work on Sea Pines CSA Boardwalk #43A (pictured), located between Wood Ibis Road and Duck Hawk Road, is in progress. Work will take approximately 1 more week, weather permitting.

4/20/23 – Sea Pines CSA Boardwalk #43A Reconstruction Completed

Replacement and construction work on Sea Pines CSA Boardwalk #43A is complete and is now open for use. Pictured below are the before and after photos of Boardwalk.
