As you may be aware, select roadways in Sea Pines are set to undergo major roadway and infrastructure repairs/improvements in 2019 and beyond. This work will improve the drainage and the safety of these roadways. In early 2019, Sea Pines CSA completed Phase 1 of the Greenwood Drive roadwork project along Greenwood Drive, from Club Course Drive to Governors Road.
Beginning Monday, November 25, 2019, at 8:00 AM, Sea Pines CSA will begin Phase 2 of the Greenwood Drive Road Reconstruction Project, along Greenwood Drive, from Governors Road to Plantation Drive intersection.
The first step in this project is the installation of erosion control and tree protection. This will occur next week (11/25-11/27 and possibly continue into the following week), weather permitting and is not anticipated to cause any major disruption in traffic.
The entire project is expected to take approximately 12-14 weeks to complete, weather permitting.

  • During work times, we will employ alternating single lane closures on the portion of Greenwood Drive, from Governors Road to Plantation Drive. Flag persons will be present to control traffic.
  • Signage will be placed throughout the work zone and at various locations within the community, to communicate project messages.
  • Motorists should expect traffic delays. The project area is considered an active work zone. Please use caution while in driving in this area. To avoid the project area, please use the Ocean Gate.
