Island Packet Article of December 5th on the ASPPPO Ballots
The Island Packet article of December 5th on the ASPPPO ballots had a statement out of context that could cause some to misinterpret the statement. The actual statement was that there was PRESSURE to vote from both sides of the aisle. The article implies that there were VOTES from both sides of the aisle.
Since we do not know who voted nor how individual residents voted, there is no way we know how the late ballots were divided. Even the identities of members who joined ASPPPO after November 1st were not made available to the board.
I sincerely regret the confusion that happened with late registrations. We will make the necessary adjustments so that it does not happen again.
