7/15/24: Excessive Heat Warning In Effect From 11 AM – 8 PM

Take precautions! Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.

Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heatstroke is an emergency! Call 9-1-1.

Dangerous levels of heat and humidity are expected again this afternoon. Heat indices could reach as high as 112-115 degrees along parts of south coastal South Carolina. Elsewhere heat indices of 105-111 can be expected. Take precautions today!
