Construction on a New Beach Access Boardwalk to Occur at Beach Marker # 4

Beginning the week of May 16th, Sea Pines CSA contractors will begin construction work on a new Sea Pines CSA beach boardwalk at Beach Marker # 4 (located near Land’s End adjacent to Sound Villas, commonly referred to as Parcel One).

This is the only beach access point managed by Sea Pines CSA that does not have a dedicated beach access boardwalk. The newly installed wooden boardwalk will be approximately 184 feet in length and will allow users to safely traverse over the soft sand along this beach access point. The boardwalk is planned to be approximately 12- 24 inches high with low guardrails and will greatly aid in the protection and preservation of the dunes in this area.

This area also serves as a vehicular beach access point for authorized vehicles, such as Shore Beach Services, Sea Pines CSA Security and Maintenance, and other Emergency Service vehicles. This authorized vehicular access will remain in place during and after the new boardwalk is installed.

Construction work on the new Boardwalk at Beach Marker #4 will take approximately 2 weeks to complete, weather permitting. Beach access will remain open for all pedestrian traffic during this time; please use caution in the work zone.

Comments or questions for the Sea Pines CSA Capital Improvements Department may be submitted online here.
