August 12, 2025
Dear Sea Pines property owners,
I am pleased to share that on August 12, 2025, Sea Pines CSA received news of the ruling in Jinks v. Sea Pines Resort, LLC, et al. The 4th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled affirming Judge Norton’s summary judgment. This decision ratified the 2020 Critical Infrastructure Referendum and its assessment. A copy of the court order is available for review here.
I would like to take this time to acknowledge the important improvements funded by the 2020 Critical Infrastructure Referendum thus far, including the Sea Pines Drive and Lighthouse Lane Infrastructure Improvement Projects, bridge restoration and leisure trail improvement projects. With Sea Pines experiencing nearly 20 inches of rainfall over the past 10 days, these infrastructure investments have demonstrated their critical importance. Our improved drainage systems and stormwater management capabilities have proven essential in helping our community weather this unprecedented challenge.
Funding these initiatives is crucial to the long-term vitality of our community, and we look forward to implementing these high-priority improvements and delivering a return on this investment for current and future property owners and stakeholders.
We appreciate your continued support as we work together to ensure that Sea Pines remains a cherished and resilient community for generations to come.
Sincerely, |
