SIPSD, the utility company providing water and wastewater services in Sea Pines, has begun a major infrastructure upgrade and replacement project to the potable water drinking lines inside of Sea Pines. The area affected currently includes Plantation Drive from Greenwood Drive to Baynard Cove Road.

SIPSD has provided the following project schedule update:

• Roadway repair and asphalt patching will occur along selected areas of Plantation Drive from Baynard Park Road to Muirfield Road on Thursday, 10/27 and Friday, 10/28. Flagman will be present to assist with traffic management. A full repair of this section of Plantation Drive will occur upon completion of the project.
• Next week, SIPSDs contractor will begin removing select trees along Plantation Drive that are within the designated project zone in which the water line must be placed, from Plantation Drive from Spanish Moss Road to Calibogue Cay Road.

Sea Pines CSA is working with South Island PSD to minimize and mitigate impacts within the project zone. South Island PSD will be replacing the trees removed from the work zone. Sea Pines CSA will determine the type and placement of the new trees.
