| Sea Pines CSA staff is actively preparing for the potential impacts of the approaching winter storm. Beginning tomorrow, sanding operations will be conducted at primary intersections, including Plantation Drive at Greenwood Drive, Plantation Drive at Lighthouse Road, Sea Pines Drive at Lighthouse Road, Greenwood Drive at Sea Pines Drive, all four entrances to Fraser Circle, and the Greenwood Drive exit at Sea Pines Circle. Salt will also be applied to all gatehouse approach lanes to reduce the potential for icy conditions at these locations. |
Sea Pines CSA Operation Updates & Notices:
- The Sea Pines CSA Maintenance storm team will remain onsite to respond to weather-related events.
- The Sea Pines Guest Pass Office and Security Dispatch Office (843-671-7170) are operating under normal business hours. We will notify you in advance if these services need to be modified due to weather conditions.
- Sea Pines daily visitor gate pass sales may be suspended due to weather conditions.
- Tower Beach facilities will be closed as of 8:00 AM, Saturday, January 31, as water will be turned off to prevent and/or mitigate any damage caused by freezing temperatures. The facilities will reopen once conditions permit.
- Access to the Sea Pines Forest Preserve and Six Oaks Cemetery will be closed as of 8:00 AM, Saturday, January 31, and will reopen once conditions permit.
- Parking Lots along Power Line Easement: To allow Santee Cooper unobstructed access to major transformer lines in Sea Pines, please do not park vehicles in lot numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, or 10.
- If snow or ice accumulates, property owners, guests, and visitors are asked to limit roadway use and remain off the leisure trails in Sea Pines. If you must travel, please drive with extreme caution.
- To help prevent icing on roadways, please turn off your irrigation systems.
