The Heritage Woods Leisure Trail Reconstruction Project was completed this week. Project work involved asphalt resurfacing and widening the trail to 10 feet. Once the curing period is over, the crews will return to finalize the permanent line stripping on the leisure trail. Additionally, a new stamped crosswalk has been installed across Old Military Road (pictured).
On January 25, 2024, Sea Pines CSA’s contractors began repair and construction work on the Heritage Woods Leisure Trail from Heritage Court to Old Military Road. Weather permitting, project work is expected to take approximately 1 week to complete and involves:
- Asphalt resurfacing
- Line striping
- Widening the trail to 10 feet
- A new stamped crosswalk across Old Military Road
Project Area:
Leisure trail users are encouraged to avoid the project area during this time, as cyclists will be required to dismount and walk bikes around the work zone.
