Class “B” Commercial Board Member

Cliff McMackin is the Director of Resort Development for The Sea Pines Resort and has been employed by the Resort for more than 10 years. He joined the Resort in January of 2013 to lead major capital projects and master planning efforts. In November of 2015, Cliff began assisting Kiawah Island Golf Resort in a similar capacity. Then in 2019, Cliff began overseeing the Sea Pines Resort Maintenance Department.

Cliff received his undergraduate degree in Construction Science and Management from Clemson University. Upon graduation, he began working as a Project Engineer for Balfour Beatty US. Later as a Project Manager, he led several large iconic commercial projects in Atlanta, Nashville, and Charlotte.

Cliff’s wife, Erin, serves as Director of Asset Liability Management for Bank of America, Charlotte. He and Erin enjoy raising their 3 girls: Isla (11), Flora (9) and Clara (7). The McMackin’s currently reside in Sea Pines, and both serve as Elders at Providence Presbyterian Church on Hilton Head Island.
