Sea Pines Community Standards Rules and Regulations Amendments

At the September board meeting, the Sea Pines CSA Board of Directors approved a series of amendments to the Sea Pines Community Standards Rules and Regulations. The revisions were recommended by the CIM Committee following a thorough review of current rules and regulations. The most significant revisions include:

  • (Section 1. Development) ARB approval: Clarification of which development activities require Architectural Review Board approval.
  • (Section 2. Development Maintenance) Waterfront structures and pools: Expanded maintenance standards for docks, bulkheads, and other waterfront structures, as well as pools.
  • (Section 7. Overall Property Appearance)
  • Roadside property and rights-of-way: A more comprehensive framework governing roadside property preservation and the use of Sea Pines CSA rights-of-way.
  • Roadside protection measures: New standards for approved protection measures, including certain hardscape materials, low-profile vegetation, and ground reinforcement systems.
  • Exterior and holiday lighting: Expanded standards to improve community aesthetics and reduce impacts on neighboring properties.
  • (Section 9. Vehicles) Parking: Existing parking requirements now extend to long-term renters and their guests.
  • (Commercial Contractors) Vehicles: Commercial contractor vehicles are no longer required to display company names and telephone numbers on both sides of the vehicle.
