The Beachwalk #47 Infrastructure Improvement Project is scheduled to begin early September 2026 and is estimated to continue through early spring 2027.
Planned work will be conducted Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, excluding major holidays. Weekend and
Project Work Will Include:
- Surveying and underground utility mark outs. Please do not remove any staking or utility markings.
- Stormwater drainage upgrades: Excavation and replacement of the stormwater drainage system including pipes and catch basins.
- Temporary steel plates will be installed to cover open excavations.
- Please be aware that construction noise will occur in the project zone throughout construction activities.
- Well-pointing and dewatering operations (lowering groundwater levels to provide more stable working conditions). Overnight dewatering will be required utilizing pumping systems.
- Due to the nature of major infrastructure construction work, planned and unplanned water or utility outages in the work zone may occur. This includes water, sewer, internet, telephone, and power interruptions
- Demolition and replacement of concrete walkway.
- Leisure trail and tree work.
Beachwalk #47 Access and Detours :
- Beachwalk #47 will be closed during project work.
- Pedestrians and bike riders should be prepared to stop and follow detours.
- Beach access will require an alternate route during the closure.
