Beach Lagoon Pedestrian Timber Bridge #31 Replacement Project

The existing wood timber pedestrian bridge (pictured) located between West Beach Lagoon Road and South Beach Lagoon Road has exceeded its useful life and must be replaced. Sea Pines CSA contractors are scheduled to begin demolition and reconstruction work in September 2026.

Project work will take approximately 4–8 weeks, weather permitting. During this time, the bridge will be closed and unavailable for use.

What to Expect:

  • The bridge will be closed for the duration of construction.
  • Work will generally be conducted Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, excluding major holidays. Weekend and overnight work may occasionally be necessary and will be communicated in advance.
  • Surveying and underground utility mark-outs will take place ahead of construction. Please do not remove or disturb any staking or utility markings.
  • Construction noise should be expected in the project zone during major construction activities.
  • This project will have no impact on vehicle traffic.
