Sea Pines CSA Vehicle Decal Application

Property Owner vehicle decals will only be issued to individuals named on the Deed of the Sea Pines Residential Property. Vehicle decals must be permanently affixed to the outside of the vehicle windshield in a manner that does not obstruct the drivers view. Unless prohibited by law or where decals may be obstructive to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) accessories (i.e., headlight activation switches), the decals should be affixed to the middle of the vehicle’s windshield, directly above the rearview mirror. If this location is not an option due to circumstances previously described, or where another mandatory decal (i.e., state required decal etc.) may prevent such placement, the decal should be affixed to a location on the windshield along the driver’s side of the vehicle and where it is not obstructive to the drivers view.

Decal(s) shall not be transferred from one vehicle to another or from one person to another. All decals shall be removed from the vehicle’s windshield prior to any windshield replacements, transfer or sale of the vehicle and the seller or transferor shall notify Sea Pines Security Administration of the change in ownership of the vehicle and return the decal to the Security Administration Office.

Decals will be issued only for vehicles registered in the authorized driver’s name. Those who drive a company owned car must provide written verification from the company stating that they are the sole driver of the company-owned vehicle.

Property Owner Decals will not be issued for work automobiles, unless it is the principal vehicle used by the property owner and is only driven by the property owner. This vehicle will not display any advertising or signage while in Sea Pines between the hours of 7:00 PM- 7:00 AM. No property owner will be issued a decal for more than one work vehicle. A vehicle owned by the property owner, but driven by an employee, will require a commercial pass or decal.

Property owners who are delinquent in the payment of CSA assessments will not be issued a Property Owner Decal.

CSA Security may suspend or revoke any decal(s) due to the failure of the person issued the decal(s) to honor or abide by Sea Pines policies, procedures, rules or regulations.

Immediate family members of a Sea Pines Residential Property Owner (RPO) can be issued an annual Relative Decal when authorized by the RPO. Qualifying family members are: son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, sister or brother.

A RPO’s Significant Other may also apply for this decal type. Their vehicle must be registered to the RPO’s Sea Pines residential address.

The RPO is required to send written approval via email: securityadmin@csaseapines.com  to verify their name, Sea Pines address and name and relationship of the applicant.

Decals will be issued only for vehicles registered in the authorized driver’s name.

Tower Beach access is not authorized, unless accompanied by the Sea Pines Residential Property Owner.

CSA Security may suspend or revoke any decal(s) due to the failure of the person issued the decal(s) to honor or abide by Sea Pines policies, procedures, rules or regulations.”

The Business Owner must provide a list of full-time employees only to CSA. The full-time employee’s name must be stated on the current vehicle registration presented to CSA (South Carolina/Chatham County, Georgia registrations only accepted).

When the employment of a decal holder is terminated, the decal number must be reported to CSA Security Administration with a notice of the employee’s termination.

The first Employee Decal is complimentary. Fees apply for additional decals.

Hilton Head Prep will supply Sea Pines Security with a list of students in need of, and eligible for this type of decal.  The list will be submitted prior to the beginning of each academic year and will also state the beginning and end dates of the academic year.Vehicle registrations must be in the name of the authorized student or parent.

Hilton Head Prep students are issued a ‘Hilton Head Prep Student Decal’ valid only for class hours or special activities scheduled by Hilton Head Prep during the academic year.

The first vehicle decal is complimentary. Fees apply for additional decals.

This decal type provides access only through the Ocean Gate and for traveling only to and from the school property. Students will enter and exit the back gate (Ocean gate) only. These decals may not be used to conduct sales, conduct business activities, use Sea Pines amenities, fish in lagoons, or to use the beach facilities. Sea Pines Residential Property Owners may not request a guest pass for Hilton Head Prep students to access the Greenwood gate during the academic school year.

It is hereby acknowledged that any lease or contract for residential rental is between the tenant & the specified property owner or rental company. Sea Pines is a private community with covenants. Therefore, permits to restrict access onto the private property of Sea Pines under the rules and regulations provided below as well as any other regulations established as necessary, by CSA, from time to time.

It is further acknowledged that violations of Sea Pines rules, covenants or law may result in a limitation of decal/pass privileges up to a period of one year as well as application of any other remedies available to CSA, at law. All in accordance with the following:

• Sea Pines long-term renters (renting 6 months or more) must provide CSA a copy of their lease to state the duration of the lease and rental property address. Up to 4 vehicle decals may be issued to the tenant. Vehicle registrations must be in the name of the authorized tenant.


• This type of vehicle decal will expire with the term of the lease or at the end of the calendar year, whichever comes first, and must be removed once the renter has vacated the property.  The Residential Property Owner or Rental Management Company must notify CSA Security Administration Office upon termination of the lease and provide evidence that the decal has been removed from each vehicle.


• All long term renter decals & passes are and remain the property of CSA, and must be permanently attached and /or prominently displayed as specified by Security. If a decal is affixed to a vehicle other than the vehicle specified on the decal application, decals will not be honored and will be confiscated.


• All decals shall be removed from the vehicle’s windshield prior to any windshield replacements, transfer or sale of the vehicle and the seller or transferor shall notify Sea Pines Security Administration of the change in ownership of the vehicle and return the decal to the Security Administration Office.


• Only decals that are physically returned to the CSA Office may be replaced. A replacement fee will be required. Decals are not to be reused once removed from the vehicle registered with CSA.


• Tower Beach access is not authorized, unless accompanied by the Sea Pines Residential Property Owner.


• Unless expressly approved by CSA any type of marked vehicle, including trailers of all types, may not remain in Sea Pines overnight.


• No motorcycles, motorized skateboards/scooter or conveyance of any kind are permitted in Sea Pines.


• Off plantation storage arrangements must be made for boats/jet skis/kayaks or within a closed garage.


• RV’s and campers are not permitted into Sea Pines.


• All vehicles must be parked in the driveway of the property leased.


• Guest passes are for the purpose of accessing friends and guests to your residence only.


• It is the responsibility of the individual renter/resident to maintain the yard and overall general appearance of the property to a level reflecting the community standards of Sea Pines.


• Music or noise of any type is not to be audible beyond a particular unit/residence.


• Streets/roadways may not be used for recreation/play.


• Flood or exterior lights may not be left on for extended periods.


• No hanging towels or beach toys are permitted to be hung or visible outside a unit.


• Garage doors must be kept closed unless moving a vehicle.


• Trash cans are not to be taken to the side of the road. Please leave in service yard.


• All pets must be kept on a leash at all times and not allowed to bark for any duration that would disturb others.

Non-Hilton Head Island Property Owners that reside within Beaufort and Jasper Counties (in South Carolina and Chatham County, Georgia) qualify for this decal type. The residential owner's name must be stated on the vehicle registration.

Commercial work and beach access are prohibited when accessing Sea Pines with this type of decal.

Documented Hilton Head Island Residential Property Owners that desire 24 hour access to Sea Pines may do so, after purchasing the Island Resident Decal. Hilton Head Island Residential Property Owners include those that pay Hilton Head Island property taxes and own an RV site on Hilton Head Island at an RV Motorcoach Resort. This does not include Sea Pines Property Owners, Hilton Head Plantation Owners or persons that own property on the mainland, past James F. Byrnes Bridge. The residential owner's name must be stated on the vehicle registration.

Commercial work and beach access are prohibited when accessing Sea Pines with this type of decal.

Equity Owners of the Harbour Town Yacht Club are not eligible for this decal type and should contact the Harbour Town Yacht Club or CSA Pass Office for further information.

Non- Sea Pines residential owner’s requesting gate access to Six Oaks Cemetery with travel only to and from the cemetery. The cemetery plot owner or family member of the deceased, may be issued one non-resident decal at no charge, once approved by the Cemetery Manager.

Commercial work and beach access are prohibited when accessing Sea Pines with this type of decal.
