WHAT IS ASPPPO?
The Association of Sea Pines Plantation Property Owners, Inc. (“ASPPPO”) represents the residential property owners of Sea Pines. ASPPPO’s basic functions are to enforce compliance with the Sea Pines covenants and to provide the residential property owners of Sea Pines, with a place to address their opinions, to get answers to their questions and to have a voice in community affairs.
HOW DO THEY FUNCTION?
ASPPPO is managed by a nine member Board of Directors, all of whom are Sea Pines Property Owners, each board position serves a three year term. Members of the Board of ASPPPO serve on all major committees that control the activities within the Sea Pines Community and they work closely with CSA on major issues.
WHAT ELSE DOES ASPPPO DO?
They appoint three (3) members of the Sea Pines Architectural Review Board.
They oversee the Land Use Monitor, an employee who inspects non-conforming properties and works with their owners to bring them up to standard.
In extreme cases, ASPPPO may bring legal action against covenant violators.
They provide forums for discussion of problems of mutual interest to property owners, and the formulation and advancement of ideas which will benefit the entire community.
They provide a channel of communication with commercial interest within Sea Pines and with local governmental and other public authorities.
HOW CAN I JOIN ASPPPO AND WHY IS MY MEMBERSHIP SO IMPORTANT?
ASPPPO is funded solely through our membership. Membership in ASPPPO is voluntary and annual, expiring on December 31 of each year. To be a member, you must own a residential lot, or family dwelling unit within Sea Pines and pay the annual dues which are $35.00. Payment of dues entitles you to vote as an ASPPPO member, this includes voting at the Annual Meeting, any special votes and also voting for the Board of Directors.

Dear Sea Pines Property Owner:
Welcome to Sea Pines! We’re glad you’re here and look forward to getting to know you.
The ambiance, beauty and amenities that make Sea Pines a world-class resort and residential community are the result of continuing work by Sea Pines property owners. There are two property owner groups in Sea Pines which work through Boards and committees to make sure Sea Pines stays the beautiful and special community that enticed you here in the first place.
Community Services Associates, Inc., (“CSA”), is the property owner organization that owns the open space, roads and lagoons. CSA collects the gate fees and our annual assessment and uses those funds to maintain the roads, open spaces and bike paths, to plant flowers, to provide security, to provide for storm drainage, to perform gate and gate pass functions, and to run the Community Center. CSA is managed by a Board of Directors composed of residential property owner representatives, Sea Pines Resort Company representatives, and commercial property owner representatives. CSA has a fine, paid management staff, headed by Bret Martin, excellent Security personnel and an outstanding Maintenance crew.

ASPPPO is managed by a Board of Directors and is funded through the membership dues of residential property owners.
ASPPPO serves as a “clearing house” for residential property owner problems, with dues covering administrative expenses, legal services for the defense of the covenants, and newsletter expenses. We encourage you to become a member of ASPPPO by sending a check in the enclosed envelope. The dues are an annual payment of $35.00 . By being a member of ASPPPO, you will help carry out the important responsibilities and activities we perform.
The CSA and ASPPPO offices are located at 175 Greenwood Drive in the CSA Admin Building and are open Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00. Feel free to stop by to meet our staff and to find out how you can join a committee and get involved!
