Board of Director Positions Available for CSA & ASPPPO Boards commencing on January 1st, 2019

Sea Pines possesses many individuals with talent and impressive backgrounds and we are looking for those who are interested in serving the community.

The following positions are available commencing on January 1st, 2019 to serve on the CSA and ASPPPO Boards.

The following candidates have been selected by the ASPPPO Nominating Committee to run for the 2019 ASPPPO Board:

Nomination By Petition Forms

In addition to those nominated by the Nominating Committees of CSA and ASPPPO, persons may be nominated by petition.

The following requirements of the petition process are:

  1. For CSA- Petition to be signed by 50 valid residential property owners in good standing. For ASPPPO- Petition to be signed by 50 valid ASPPPO Members in good standing.
  2. The candidate has to be willing and able to serve.
  3. Both CSA and ASPPPO By-laws require the petition to reach said Nominating Committee by October 1st, 2018.

Candidate Questions

In preparation for the upcoming Board of Director elections for CSA and ASPPPO, the Nominating Committees of each of these Boards are asking Sea Pines Property Owners for candidate questions in advance.

The Nominating Committees of CSA and ASPPPO will review the questions submitted by the community and select questions to ask of all candidates. Each candidate will receive the same list of questions and be able to provide their answers which will be posted to the SeaPinesLiving.com website. Candidate bios, photos of candidates and their answer as to “Why they wish to serve the Sea Pines Community” and their answers from the community questions will also be posted on the Sea Pines Living website on or around Oct 12th.

The Nominating Committees of ASPPPO and CSA, will collect questions to the candidates from the community, September 4 through September 18. Please submit your candidate questions to Sandra Archer, CSA Executive Administrative Assistant by email at sandra@csaseapines.com">sandra@csaseapines.com by Tuesday, September 18th, 2018 by 4:00 PM.

Save the Date- Meet the Candidates Forum

The Meet the Board Candidates Forum on October 24th from 2-4 pm at the Sea Pines Community Center. In person seating will be limited to the first 124 property owners who reserve a ticket. Ticket reservation information will be sent out to the community closer to the event date.

The forum will also be videotaped and posted on our website for those property owners who cannot attend. In addition, we will be providing a listen in only webinar for this meeting, webinar sign up details will be sent out to the community closer to the event date.

Make your vote count!

The ASPPPO and CSA Ballots will be mailed out November 1, 2018 and voting will close on December 1, 2018. Please participate in this year’s Board of Director’s election and make your vote count!


CSA Class “B”  Commercial Director Elections 

There are two CSA Commercial Director positions available commencing on January 1st, 2019 to serve on the CSA Board of Directors. If you are interested in applying, please complete and return one of the forms below.

Please return your completed CSA Commercial Director (Class “B”) form by August 1st to: Sandra Archer, CSA Admin Building 175 Greenwood Dr.

The Class “B” Commercial Nominating Committee has nominated Bob Sowers as a Commercial Representative to serve from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2021. 


Nomination By Petition For CSA Class B Commercial Directors

In addition to those nominated by the Class B Commercial Director Nominating Committee of, persons may be nominated by petition.

The following requirements of the petition process are:

Nomination by Petition. Any Commercial Member may nominate a candidate if:

  • The candidate is a Commercial Member in good standing, or the spouse of a Commercial Member in good standing, or designee of a Commercial Member that is not an individual (e.g., corporation, trust);
  • The candidate is supported by a petition bearing the names, signatures, and addresses of at least three (3) Commercial Members;
  • The petitioner must establish that the candidate is ready, willing and able to serve; and
  • The proposed name reaches the Commercial Member Nominating Committee by October 1 prior to the election.
