Meet Your CSA Board Candidate: Kerry de Vallette

Candidate Name: Kerry de Vallette

Running For: CSA Board

Candidate Category: Candidate by Petition

If elected, I will be the first non-resident CSA Board representative.  My wife Jill and I bought our home in 2008 as a 25th wedding anniversary gift to one another.  We plan to make Sea Pines our full time residence within 5 years.  I am the Principal and Managing Partner of the JKS Abbott Group, LLC, a consulting firm serving the healthcare information technology and services market.  Throughout my career I’ve held Chief Sales and Marketing positions in 2 Fortune 500 companies, including McKesson and Cerner Corporation, as well as several successful start-ups.

I am an active civic volunteer currently serving as Vice Chair of the Urban Redevelopment Agency for the City of Dunwoody, Georgia, a position to which I was appointed by the Mayor and City Council.  I also serve on the Board of Directors of the Dunwoody Homeowners Association, the largest homeowners association in the State of Georgia.

Why I Wish To Serve Sea Pines:

It has been a real educational experience for me having closely followed the referendum process over the last 18 months.  What I observed first-hand were the leadership and governance challenges that our community faces.  I will bring my consulting and local governmental operations experience to this Board with a focus that respects and represents homeowners, both permanent and absentee.

Using my information technology consulting expertise I will focus on improving constituency communications by providing you with transparency and clarity regarding CSA finances, operational performance, and budgeting for long range infrastructure capital improvements.  Leveraging the SeaPinesLiving website we can “push” information links to you via email so that you can easily see financial and operational performance dashboards on a monthly/quarterly basis.

I pledge to represent your interests in protecting the natural and financial resources of Sea Pines while working to improve the quality of CSA constituent services.

Questions From The Community:

In preparation for the upcoming Board of Director elections for CSA and ASPPPO, the Nominating Committees of each of these Boards asked Sea Pines Property Owners for candidate questions in advance.

61 questions were submitted to the Nominating Committees of CSA and ASPPPO to be asked of the board candidates. Questions were grouped into six categories, Personal, General, Finance/ Revenue, Gate, Governance and Referendum. Please note that only the questions from the community are included to be asked of the candidates. Opinions, statements, dissertations or preambles or other comments included by a property owner were removed so that the candidate could address the question. Some statements had to be modified to appear in the form of a question.

Each candidate received the same list of questions and was able to provide their summary related to each of the six categories.
