A contractor will be performing a geotechnical engineering evaluation of the Deer Island Bridge on August 15th during daytime hours.  A drill rig will be set up to take borings in select locations. During this evaluation one lane of the bridge will be closed for a short period of time, however traffic will still be permitted to use the bridge and will be directed by flagmen during this time.
