ASPPPO Board to bring proposed restated and amended set of ASPPPO bylaws to a vote by ASPPPO Members

After nearly 18 months of work by a diverse and talented group of volunteers, we now have a proposed restated and amended set of bylaws for the Association of Sea Pines Plantation Property Owners (ASPPPO) that have been approved and recommended by the ASPPPO Board to be sent to the ASPPPO membership for a vote. We believe they are a great improvement over our decades old and obsolete present bylaws.

The ASPPPO Bylaw task force received two different rounds of comments on these draft bylaws from property owners and these proposed amended and restated bylaws have also undergone review by legal counsel for conformance with South Carolina law.

At the 9/19/19 regularly scheduled ASPPPO Board of Directors meeting, the following resolution was approved by the ASPPPO Board of Directors:

Resolution for 7d.  Approval – ASPPPO Amended and Restated Bylaws, September 19, 2019: “RESOLVED, Association of Sea Pines Plantation Property Owners, Inc., Board of Directors, approves the ASPPPO Restated Bylaws, September 19, 2019, final draft, as presented. The Bylaws will be voted on by the Membership, for final approval, as presented”.

The ASPPPO Amended and Restated Bylaws will be included in the ASPPPO Board of Director Election mailing package which mailed out to eligible ASPPPO members on November 1, 2019.

When will my ASPPPO ballot package mail?

The ASPPPO Board of Director Election and ASPPPO Amended and Restated Bylaws Ballot package mailed out on November 1, 2019, to current 2019 ASPPPO Members. Membership in ASPPPO is voluntary and dues for 2019 must have been paid by October 1 in order to vote for the ASPPPO Amended and Restated Bylaws  Please allow 5 business days for your mailed package to arrive.

When is the due date for the return of ballots?

Voting will close on December 1, 2019. Your ballot must be postmarked by December 1, 2019, to be counted.
