A cold front is expected to move through the SC Lowcountry and GA Coastal Empire later Friday with a low risk for isolated severe storms ahead of the front Friday morning through early evening. Locally heavy rainfall could also lead to minor flooding, especially in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Severe Storms:
- What: Low risk for isolated severe storms w/ damaging winds (>60 mph) and large hail (>1″ diameter) which could cause tree/power line/property damage. An isolated weak tornado is possible as well.
- When: Mainly Friday mid-morning through early afternoon for inland areas (mainly west of I-95); early afternoon through early evening for areas near/east of I-95
- Where: Entire SC Lowcountry/GA Coastal Empire, although the greatest risk is in SC
