Sea Pines CSA Announces Change to Sea Pines Rental Pass Distribution Program Starting April 30

Effective April 30, 2018, guests renting through rental management companies or from Sea Pines property owners and managers will receive their passes in advance of their visit by the rental management company or property owner renting their property. This new process eliminates the need for most renters to pick up their passes from the Sea Pines Welcome Center, expedites the pass process and reduces congestion at the Sea Pines Welcome Center.

This change does not apply to guests renting through The Sea Pines Resort or residential owners calling in a pass for their authorized personal guests; these groups will still pick up their passes at the Sea Pines Welcome Center at 32 Greenwood Drive.

Requesting Sea Pines Rental Guest Passes

Rental management companies and Sea Pines property owners who rent their Sea Pines property are encouraged to request rental guest passes for their renter in advance at a rate of $15 per pass ($17 March 23 – September 2), per week to be billed to their account. Those requesting a Sea Pines rental guest pass must e-mail the Sea Pines Guest Pass office at passrequest@seapinessecurity.com two weeks ahead of the guest’s visit. The pass will be mailed directly to the rental management company or the Sea Pines property owner to issue to their renter.

Requesting Weekly Rental Guest Pass Vouchers

A weekly rental guest pass voucher can be issued in place of a rental guest pass and is redeemable for any seven-day period. Each voucher is currently $15 (billed directly to the account) and can be issued to both rental management companies and Sea Pines property owners who rent their property. Those requesting a Sea Pines rental guest pass voucher must e-mail the Sea Pines Guest Pass office at passrequest@seapinessecurity.com two weeks ahead of the guest’s visit. The voucher will be mailed directly to the rental management company or Sea Pines property owner to issue to their renter.

We recommend that rental management companies purchase several vouchers in advance of the season so that when additional guests arrive on a Saturday to check in, the vouchers can be provided in exchange for a weekly pass at the gate.

Distribution Methods for Sea Pines Rental Guest Passes or Vouchers

It is the responsibility of the rental management companies or Sea Pines property owner to distribute the rental guest pass or rental guest pass voucher to their renter in advance of their stay via:

  • Mail: Advanced issued rental guest passes or vouchers will be mailed directly to the rental management company or Sea Pines property owner making the request. We ask for two weeks’ advanced notice for mailing rental guest passes or vouchers.
  • Pick Up from Sea Pines Welcome Center: Rental management companies and Sea Pines property owners may pick up their advanced requested rental guest passes or vouchers from the Sea Pines Welcome Center seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. Local rental management companies are required to pick up their requested passes or vouchers in advance from the Sea Pines Welcome Center.

Renters can no longer pick up passes at the Sea Pines Welcome Center – only rental management companies or Sea Pines property owners can pick up these passes or vouchers from the Welcome Center.

Purchasing a Sea Pines Rental Guest Pass at the Gate

Renters visiting Sea Pines who do not have a voucher or rental guest pass issued in advance can at either gate purchase a Sea Pines daily gate pass for $8 or a weekly Sea Pines gate pass for $20.
