Heavy Rainfall Causes Localized Flooding in Sea Pines (12/17/23)
Sea Pines witnessed heavy rainfall and inclement weather today, December 17, 2023, leading to several inches of rainfall in a short period. The combination of high tide and heavy rainfall has caused localized flooding in low-lying areas of the community. If you need to travel this afternoon, avoid areas with standing water.
Addressing Beach Erosion
The recent high tides have resulted in significant beach erosion. Our staff will be conducting thorough inspections of all beach walks as the tide recedes. Repairs will be made as necessary, starting tomorrow morning. We urge the community to exercise extreme caution while walking along the beach walks and to be mindful of sudden drop-offs.
Sea Pines CSA staff and crews are on-site to facilitate storm clean-up efforts throughout the community, which will continue over the next few days.
