Mosquito Spraying within Sea Pines

Mosquito Spraying within Sea Pines

CSA treats CSA open space areas and roadways areas with a post emergent product to treat adult mosquito on a weekly basis. These weekly sprays occur between the hours of 10 pm – 4 am on Monday night into early Tuesday morning and Thursday night into early Friday morning during the months of May through October. Weather dependent.

CSA also treats our catch basins and lagoons with a pre-emergent product. For questions related to the CSA Mosquito Control Program please contact the CSA Maintenance Department  by calling 843.671.7849.

Tips to reduce mosquito population:

Limit Breeding Habitat
Mosquitoes require water to breed. Adult mosquitoes lay eggs in stagnant or slow moving water, or on moist soil or leaf litter in areas likely to collect water. By eliminating these water sources, you can keep new generations of mosquitoes from taking up residence in your yard.

Limit Adult Habitat
Adult mosquitoes rest during the day, usually on tall weeds or other vegetation. Make your yard less hospitable to mosquitoes by mowing your lawn regularly, and keep weeds away from your home’s foundation.
